Kovack Financial, the parent company to Kovack Securities Inc, an Independent Broker/Dealer and Kovack Advisors, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is currently looking for a New Accounts Principal to add to our team. Our ideal candidate will have experience as a Principal working with a Broker Dealer.
Position Duties:
- Conducting suitability and best interest review of customer accounts to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies. Accounts include:
- Brokerage-NFS, Pershing, IWS
- Direct Business-variable annuities, equity index/fixed annuities, RIA TAMPs, 529 plans, alternative investments, and mutual funds
- Providing customer service related to new account requests to our advisors, acting as the primary source of information regarding our accounts and products
- Working with the compliance team to execute the firm’s supervisory policies and procedures
- Collaborating in a team environment to manage workload and daily volume
Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- Review and understand new account requirements for brokerage accounts and accounts held directly at sponsor companies.
- Process and open new accounts with multiple custodians and sponsor companies.
- Perform scanning and data entry tasks.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and common computer programs.
- Knowledge of Wealthscape, NetX360, and Docupace is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
